Although I don't recall the place where the first discussion occurred, this "sticky" thread would seem to be a good place to repeat it -- and I call upon my brother mods, as well as the trusty Admins, to fill in missing details or correct misstated parameters here.
When it comes to including IMAGES in a message you are posting, we've asked DBBP members to do a coupla things:
1. Try to limit the image size. (IIRC, something around "thumbnail" size -- around 150 x 112 -- was the suggested parameter.) This is an act of kindness for those who are still (for reasons known only to themselves) using dial-up to access the internet. (Yes, I know there are many legitimate reasons why some folks don't have broadband access -- I was just funnin' with ya!)
2. Try to copy the image to your computer -- and respect copyright notices -- and then upload the saved image to an account at one of the image-hosting sites on the 'net. There are a number that are available at no charge (for example, ImageShack). You can usually handle the resizing of the image at the time you upload; so yo9u can have the benefit of the full image on your own machine, whicle sharing the smaller version with us here at the DBBP.
As always, thanks for listening, and for doing your part to make this the best baseball forum going!
