We have now activated administrator approval for all new accounts on the board. When you sign up, an email will be sent to the admins, who will verify the account is genuine, has a legitimate email address, etc. Generally, this should take place within 24 hours of creation, but may take longer on weekends, holidays and during the playoffs. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Note that the more information you give us, the less likely we will be to nuke your account, mistaking it for a porn/pharm/financial spammer. Posting a generic name, from a Hotmail account, with no info in your profile, is not a good thing, since we always err on the side of caution.
Oh, and TAP, can you PM me with the email address you want the new account notifications to go to?
