Dragic had a triple-double against Team China with 15points, 10 boards and 10 assists.

The writers, reportedly, are predicting the on-the-court success of all 30 NBA franchises, starting 1 year from today, for 3 years after that.

Somehow, they've ranked the Suns 27th overall. They are saying that, starting a year from now, the Suns will perennially be drafting in the top 5 of the lottery.

I do agree that this Suns' offseason has left a lot to be desired...

Hedo? Warrick? Frye at full MLE?...

It doesn't matter. You know that Nash guy? He's superhuman.

No doubt, but when he retires, it could get ugly. So while I don't think they are the 5th worst team this year, It's hard to put an argument up about how they can be a viable playoff team losing Nash and Hill in the future in an incredibly deep (and fairly young) Western Conference.

Right now IMO it's a question mark regarding the PG position once Nash retires, but, Dragic surprised everyone with his game and I want to see that over the course of the upcoming season, I think he'll have a great year, and will convinced everyone that he's THE future PG.

The Suns are always getting underrated. And I prefer it that way. Then when the Suns make the playoffs, all the ESPN writers and Kenny Smith can shove their predictions where they want to. With great expectation comes higher pressure. I think it'll be a fun season

Text from KTAR:
ESPN's Chris Broussard reports the Suns will name Lance Blanks as the team's GM.

Yahoo sports tidbit about the search

Quote:
A big part of the apprehension about the Suns GM job among potential candidates is how little authority there will be under a new president and a hands-on owner. Cleveland GM Chris Grant has a close relationship with Blanks and strongly values him as his top aide. Both Grant and Blanks moved up a spot with the departure of former GM Danny Ferry.

9 more turnovers for Nash tonight. I remember in the playoff series with Portland last year that he also had some big turnover games. Is it that the Blazers play exceptionally strong pressure defense against him, or is he starting to show some wear and tear from all the minutes he's played over the years? His assist to turnover ration last year (about 3 to 1) seems fairly consistent with his career numbers. But his playoff ratio was only about 2.7 to 1. And now he's started 2010-11 with a 6 assist, 9 turnover game. So is it nothing? Age? The way the Blazers play him? The fact that without Stoudamire he's having to do more, particularly scoring the ball?

Suns set a new franchise record tonight with 22 made 3-point shots as they beat the Lakers 121-116 in L.A. The NBA record for 3-point shots in a game is 23 by Orlando.

Orlando will send PHX Carter, Gortat, Pietrus, a 1st round pick and $3 million for Richardson, Hedo and Earl Clark, source tells Y! Sports

WTF? Carter sucks. And Clark will be good. We should have kept him to take over for Hill.

I like getting Gortat and Pietrus, but losing J-Rich for Carter is a big drop off. Hedo for the other 2 is a big gain for us though. We had to do something, we were getting killed on the boards and defensively we were very weak. I think we may be slightly better today with these new additions. Plus Carter is probably gone after this season anyways.

We're talking about the same Clark, right?
I feel like throwing up every time I see him play. Definition of a bust.

It's this trade screams of salary cap. The option on Vince Carter is almost 100% going to be declined. Gortat replaces Hedo's contract in terms of salary, but is more appropriate for what they were lacking. Pietrus is just another wing guy, but is more defensively capable than anyone on the team. plus some cash and a 1st, this is definitely a win for the Suns IMO.
