BTW I decided I hate Eric Byrnes. I can't stand stupidity and he seems to be the dumbest guy in baseball <unless you count Joe Jr> so he is permanently on my shit list. |
Sweet. We meet the third Tuesday of the month.
Jackson is having a brutal series.

D-Backs lose 6-1 as Gonzo gets the final out with a weak grounder to 1st.
On the bright side today:
1) Snyder was lethal throwing out Colorado baserunners
2) Batista gave up just 1 ER in 6 IP
3) Tracy didn't strike out |

Funny....the company can make all the difference.
I had a most enjoyable day at the park today with Steve. He is a great guy to see a game with, if you ever get the chance.
Sheesh....could they have played any more like crap today...?
Not pretty. The worst play was Conors double error. That was pretty damn ugly. |

Totally agree. Steve is a cool cat. Too bad he doesn't post here anymore
Still, the Dbacks can finish 13-0 and capture the wild card

I'll vouch for that too. Steve knows his stuff.

Alberto Callaspo won The Most Hospitable D-Back Award for his warm greeting of Brad Hawpe at 2nd base during today's 2nd inning.

B Y the time I was finished at work and able to tune in the game, the score was 3-1. (I don't recall which inning it was - probably the sixth...)
What was the double error for CoJack in the first inning? What happened?

Allow me to quote espn.com...
With one out and runners at first and second, Francis bunted to Diamondbacks pitcher Miguel Batista, who was charged with an error when he couldn't pick up the ball in time to make a throw to first.
The next batter, Kazuo Matsui, grounded to first base. Conor Jackson saw the ball bounce off his glove for a fielding error, and then he threw it past Batista, who was covering first. Two runs scored, with Matsui receiving credit for an RBI fielder's choice.
"I've got to make that play, there's no doubt about it," said Jackson, whose 11 errors are third-most on the team. "It just kind of popped out."
Arizona manager Bob Melvin said the inning deflated his team, which had won three straight.
"We kicked it around, and psychologically that can demoralize you a little bit, especially the way Francis is pitching," Melvin said.
