Poor Russ Ortiz allowed 3 runs in 5 innings and lost tonight.
Walked 5, by the way.

The more things change, the more they stay the same... Wink

Although I don't think "poor" applies until he comes off the books for the Diamondbacks... Shocked

The beauty of starting Donut Boy vs the braves tonight was Tim Hudson was on the mound for Atlanta. Why risk wasting a good effort from one of your better starters against a guy like Hudson when you can basically waste that start with someone like Ortiz?

I like the way Bochy set his rotation following the make-up doubleheader in Pittsburgh on Monday.

Giants record is now 28th out of 30 teams, bettering only Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. But there's no problem -- they've still got Barry to hype.

"People have got to be thinking about the Giants as the favorites now," Byrnes said. "They had a chance to separate themselves from everyone else in baseball with their moves this offseason and they did. Now that they have the two Barrys, this absolutely puts them over the top. Everyone in the NL West will be shooting at these guys."

Aw, give him a break. He was just practicing for his free agent interview with SF. Laughing

Expected ... esp. with them adding Donut Boy and with Barry's big ass heading the circus.
