The only problem is what he does in between HR's and 2B's. Nothing.
Well he has also gotten on base 15 times by a walk or HBP.
Despite his "slump" he has a .872 OPS
He has played some pretty good defense.
And as I pointed out a few days ago, he has a very low BABIP, (.250) and has hit quite a few balls hard that were right at people. He has been unlucky to have such a low batting average.
So I don't agree at all that he has done nothing in between his doubles and homers. The playing record clearly states otherwise.

I wonder if Drew's hand issue is worse than reported???
If so, then why play him every other day? Just say his hand is hurting and you are shutting him down until he feels better. The hand sounds totally like an excuse to me...
Drew has only played 1 game in the last 4, I'd say he's hurt or else he'd be in this lineup.
According to Mike Tulumello in this morning's East Valley Tribune, Drew is nursing a sore throwing hand but is expected to be in the lineup tonight (Wednesday).
