Okay, espn is still showing the only AZ error as Chad's launch into the 1st base seats. Are they seriously calling this inning all hits??

I take that back...Gonzo's errant throw was also tagged as an error...but no fielding errors in the 8th?

From now on, I'm going to stop watching games in the 6th inning. At least then, I can pretend that we didn't blow a late lead and lose.

BY FAR the worst series of the year for AZ, as all three of these games were multiple run wins until 8th inning implosions in all three games.

Really just pathetic.

Now this crap is over, Roy Oswalt is perfect through 6 against the Mets.

Im diverting subjects to avoid venting anger at Melvin.

Wow, they lost this game? Glad I missed the bad parts.

So - BM, Byrnes, KenCo, Mooron - is it over now?

Byrnes 0 for 4 with 1 K.
Gonzo 0 for 2 with 1 E.

And no room for Young who in his first 10 days in the show is hitting .360/.414/.640 with a 1.054 OPS and who's been a human vacuum cleaner in CF.
Oh, that's right, we wouldn't want to tire him out. Rolling Eyes

That's wrong...it was Estrada's throw that was the error. Gonzo's was caught by Estrada and Estrada threw it over Tracy's head which allowed Zimmerman to advance to 2nd.

Tell it to the official scorer and to espn.com. They have "E: C Tracy (throw); L Gonzalez (throw)."

I know that's what they have, but it still can't be right. Gonzo's throw (while weak) was not offline and it was caught by Estrada. At the least the runner advances on the throw, not an error. Then Estrada over through the ball. The official scorer is either nuts or going to fix it later.

That ball went past Estrada. It was Webb who threw it past third although I think (and so does the scorer) that the guy was in at third even with a good throw by Webb so the error goes to Gozno who missed Estrada with the throw.

So how did Webb's mechanics look today, McCray?

i only saw the last two innigs he pitched. he looked real good in the first inning i watched, but the second inning he was throwing more across himself more and his sinker just wasn't sinking as much. not bad though, not bad by any means.

i really have to change my sig, don't i?

Eso está correcto.

Pete Kerzel / MLB.com after today's game wrote:
The next hitter, Ryan Zimmerman, shot a single into left field to plate Henry Mateo, who was running for Church. Left fielder Luis Gonzalez's errant throw advanced the runners to second and third.

I'm glad I missed this one today. Got tired as Hell walking around a bunch of Smithsonian museums, but at least I'm not depressed and mad as Hell afterwards.
