I hadnt mentioned this before as Im not sure who I know around here and it was kind of personal anyways.

Anyways, I havent really posted here or at ESPN much this year mostly because on opening day this year my younger brother died in a car accident. I was really not interested in baseball for much of april or even may. It really took a friend taking me to a game earlier this week to remind me how far out of touch I was with what was going on with the team.

Anyways, the only reason I mention it was because my brothers 25th bday was on friday. To commemorate this, my two brothers, my mom, and my stepdad went and got tattoos with my brothers ashes mixed into the ink. It was about the coolest thing Ive experienced since my kids were born. I changed over my avatar to a shot of the new ink (not my arm though).

Anyways, thought Id share with those of you who know me cause I never thought Id get a tattoo but this was awesome.

That is very cool rgndvo.

Many years ago I was in a car accident and one of my closest friends slowly died in my arms before the ambulance could arrive. As deeply as that memory is etched in my soul I can't imagine losing a brother like that.

Very best to you and your family.

Well, you may have been temporarily out of touch with the team, but you were never out of touch with what mattered.

Sounds like you have a wonderful family.

Sorry to hear that , i some what have been in a very simular situation..

3/15/2007 my cousin was working on a building, he was an iron worker..there was an accident he fell about 20 feet...and he died later that day, he was 28 years old.

well needless to say that touched the whole family like it has never been touched before.

where was I going......Oh yea....I always said i would not get a tatoo, i said that there was nothing i felt that strong about that i would put on my body for the rest of my life.....until then, my cuz had a tatoo that i will get and put in the same spot (top left arm) no one will no what it means or that it was the same one he had, only my family and honestly that is all that matters...

I was kind of wondering what happened to you. That's a pretty unique thing to do, have the ashes mixed in with the ink. I'm truly sorry for your loss, and glad to see your still around.
