To improve board efficiency and reduce bandwidth usage, please refrain from using large and/or multiple images in your signature files. One small image - say no bigger than 300x100 - is fine, but I've noticed an increase in the scale and content of these. Your co-operation is appreciated.

Text is, of course, preferred. Laughing

Question:

I found an image of Augie I want to use as my avatar. I am wondering why it won't show up under my username on the left hand side

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 25 KB.

Is your Augie pic larger than this?

EDIT: He just showed up in your signature and it's definitely too large. Do you have photo editing capabilities on your computer to shrink Augie down to size?

Wow, thats a bit to...large....

You could try resizing it with www.irfanview.com/ it is a free downloadable image resizing tool. I use it. You can also do some other basic photo editing things (blur, crop, text, etc)

In fact, my avatar is a shrunk down version of a photo I took. I resized it using irfanview.

There you go, that might work for the avatar.
