Do we have one?

Reds have one and he's a stud.

Today I hear the Giants signed one.

I want a Cuban!

Im guessing your not referring to one of these

In all seriousness though ive previously understood our conservatism towards signing latin free agents but i think the more other clubs are getting talent and stud talents at that we are giving ourselves a competitive disadvantage. Im not saying we should be paying the 30 million pound contracts to the likes of Chapman but i would like us to once in a while go for a premium talent we like and take a calculated risk by paying a reasonable signing bonus.

Bottom line is we are hampering ourselves the longer we limit our signings in this area to a 300k pitcher when every other club is taking risks on higher ceiling talents.

The better question would be, why would the Diamondbacks be paying in pounds? Laughing
