I was looking at our roster just know and I thought I'd share a few things:
Average age: 28.5 (27.8 if you don't count the ones on the DL)
Youngest: Young, 22
Oldest: Hissy Fit Boy, 38
7 of our 13 pitchers are Dominican
Clark, Green, and Hernandez are the only players over 30 who have guaranteed contracts for next season (DaVannon has a player option). |

The D backs Control Byrnes, Hudson, Estrada, and Davanon.....and more than likely 3 of those 4 will be on the team next year.
Opening Day 2007 ages
Davanon 33
Byrnes 31
Estrada 30 (Turns 31 in June)
Hudson 29
Still plenty of PV around next year.

Not acording to my father. He wants both Gonzo and Byrnes back. I've tried to convert him but I'm not getting much progress. After a couple months of Hairston, Young, and Quentin I'm sure he'd come along.

But none of them have the trademark Gonzo Slide™.
Looking at the height and apparent arc of this ball, it appears that the slide was premature. Might a little speed (or in this pictured case, even Gonzo speed) have allowed this to be caught standing up?
