From the ESPN game story.

Arizona has lost four straight and seven of eight. The D-backs are 0-7-1 in their last eight home series, and have not won a series at home since taking two of three from the Chicago Cubs on May 27-29.

Arizona's errors increased its total to 67 this season, the second-most in the majors -- one behind Washington.

Davis has given up three earned runs or fewer in eight of his last 10 starts but has only one victory in that stretch.

With a little effort I think we can be # 1 in E's this year.

Wow is all I can say. That was a rough one. It was nice being at the park with my daughter but Shocked are we that bad?
I am sure this was covered earlier in the thread but I would like to avoid reading this whole thing. Has the guy who bunted ever scored on said bunt or did I witness history?

Mark Grace called it a Little League Home Run.

I'm sure it's not the first time that's ever happened.

Back when TBS was broadcasting Braves games and Furcal (at "19" ) was a rookie, I remember seeing him bunt for a double on 2 separate occasions. On one the 3B charged the ball so aggresively, he literally over ran it and it snuck into the OF.

Yes I watched more Braves games than Cubs games before that comes up...again... Rolling Eyes

It was a pathetic display of team defense and reflects very badly on not just the players, but the coaches.

Where was Upton? He should have been braking to back up the throw to 1st Base. Where was Romero and Davis on the throw to 3B?

If my 11U team would have made similar type of boneheaded moves, they would not have enjoyed the next practice!

Young not completely back from injury

After missing four games with a groin injury, the Diamondbacks' Chris Young started Friday night's 12-3 loss to the Angels. He left after six innings, and manager A.J. Hinch kept the center fielder out of Saturday's lineup.

"I wasn't entirely comfortable with what I saw (Friday,)" Hinch said. "He was playing a little guarded on non do-or-die plays. He didn't really have that play when he had to go all out, but I want to make sure that he's fine."

It's possible Young might sit out Sunday in preparation for a three- game set against Cincinnati that starts Tuesday...

Today's view from the press box:

The little things are killing the Diamondbacks. Pitcher Doug Davis failed to get down a sacrifice bunt with a runner at first and none out in the fifth. Mark Reynolds ended the eighth inning by getting picked off first. Solid, healthy teams are able to survive one or two mistakes, but the Diamondbacks are neither right now, and their 30-45 record reflects it.

Obviously being at the game sucked, especially the Aybar play. But one thing that is making the Chase experience suck is consistently feeling like I'm rooting for the road team. Maybe it is dumb luck or coincidence but all 5 games other than Opening Day have seemed to have more fans from the opponent. Its embarrassing and it pisses me off. I know winning solves that...but it still sucks.

I agree. I was surprised at the amount of Angel fans there. They were loud to.
