I'm beginning to dread that Tucson is going to get the shaft when it comes to 3TV broadcast games. Usually these would air on WB Tucson and usually Tucson would only see about 90% of them. Now if you guys remember, The WB and UPN merged to form The CW Network. That was all fine and dandy until CW failed to air almost all of the remaining D-back games including the last season series against the Padres. The CW wants to become part of the big boys alongside NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX so having some stupid baseball game instead of Veronica Mars would be highly inconvenient.Rolling Eyes Kristen Bell is a fine lady and all but I want my baseball, plain and simple.

So, until I see an announcement, I guess more Reba and The Gilmore Girls for Tucson!

Yup that sucks. I live out in Avra Valley and I cant even get the radio to come in well here. I am thinking of going to satellite radio so I can get MLB on it.

A couple years ago a wrote a really hate-filled email to the folks at Tucson's WB affiliate regarding their lack of interest in carrying all of the Diamondbacks games. They offered to send me a game on them which was an awfully nice thing to do for someone who just addressed you as 'The Destructor of Baseball'. I never ended up taking them up on the offer.

Here's what I would do to get all the games. Get a dish. Tell them you live at a friend's house in the Phoenix area, and then BAM you get 3TV and every D'backs game possible.

I have Dish Network. What do you mean about telling them I live in Phoenix?

If you 'live' in Phoenix you'll get 3TV, the D'backs flagship station, as part of your local channel package resulting in your being able to watch all the games that you wouldn't normally get in Tucson.

Go green and pay electronically. I pay my dish bill online. Wink

I also pay on line but they still know my address from when I originally signed up. So you are in California and you tell them you are in Phoenix and they switch your feed?
Does that mean you are getting local Phoenix stations instead of where you live?

I don't tell them I'm in Phoenix, but I could. My dad did change his address with DirecTV once to a friend's who lives near LA. He thought it would be a good idea because he liked to watch the LA stations, but then he realized that he lost all the D'backs games (he lives in Yuma) once he did that. It can easily be done. I doubt you'd be going off a different satellite than anyone in Phoenix, so you wouldn't have any trouble getting all the games. My case on the other hand

This process of "moving" is actually quite common in the Connecticut area, because the Yankees and Red Sox are blacked out, so people "move" to the respective cities to get the games.

Well I did some searching (on Wikipedia of all places) and "My Tucson TV" (Ch. 2 on COX) has in fact replaced WB as the broadcast affiliate of the D-backs. So basically, its gonna go from WB to what we once called UPN.

Its all here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTTU-TV

I'm now optimistic that all of the 3TV games will be on UPN since WB's silly contract is now long gone. And really, what else are they gonna put on to fill the programming slots?

I would assume that also goes for us who have Comcast instead of Cox.
