I'm glad to hear that, Hank.
I think that the next 6 games will be a good test for our boys. The Cavs/T-Wolves on the road back-to-back then the Spurs and Jazz at home followed by a back-to-back road trip to both the Nuggets and the Blazers may show us what our team is truly made of.
Maybe they'll dust off Burke and Marks so those two can bang away at the defensive post.

This year's team is such a pleasure to watch. Barring injury, this is their year to take it all the way. Should that happen, many will talk about what a magical season 2006-07 was for Phoenix, so hopefully we're all taking it in as it unfolds.

Well, the 17 game winning streak has come to an end at the hands of KG and the T-Wolves. We sure could have used Kurt Thomas in this one.
Still, you gotta love the two ( 15 and 17 ) runs that we've seen so far this year. Can our boys pull off another one that exceeds the 1st two? |

A 4 game win streak in the NBA finals would suffice.

That would be nice. I'm more concerned about getting through the Western Conference finals though. The 4 to 6 best NBA teams are probably in the West.

Sweet!!!
What a game against the Spurs tonight! It had a playoff atmosphere and we tightened up the D and wore them down in the 4th while Bell was on the bench. |

'Twas indeed! And if Kobe gets a 1-game suspension for hitting Ginobili with an elbow while shooting, certainly Ginobili should be seeing the same for his flying knee-into-the groin shot against Amaré.

They also broke the 95-96 Bulls record for consecutive games without a double digit loss. Bulls started their season with 45 straight w/o a double digit loss before the Suns ended their run and last night was the Suns' 46th game |

And, to the surprise of no one among the fans of the Suns, Nash, Marion, and Stoudemire are headed to the All-Star game as reserves.

But I hope they don't play too many minutes...
And Raja Bell is in the 3-point competition; while Boris Diaw will also be there, as a color commentator for the French-language broadcast of the game...

And yet they are now 0-3 against the Jazz...

The Suns are far and away the most exciting team in the NBA, with probably the best starting five, but I have some doubts as to whether they'll be able to win it all. My main problem is that they're playing too few guys too many minutes too early in the season at too frantic a pace. Usually a team doesn't tighten up their rotation until playoff time, but the Suns are really relying on only about seven guys night in and night out. At the very least, a fatigue factor is going to set in, and at worst, I think there's a greater chance for injury.
I hope I'm wrong. The Suns are one of the few things that's good about the NBA. |

The case for Nash's 3rd MVP became even stronger tonight as the Nash-less Suns fell to Atlanta 120-111. And guess who dropped by US Airways Center this evening...

The Suns window of opportunity for a championship is largely dependent on Nash. That window is not open very wide. My question to all Suns fans is should we consider trading Amare, Banks, and a draft pick (not Atlanta's) for KG to try to win now? The assumption is that you can get past the salary issues. |

Surely you jest. If not, pass the bowl 'cause that's some good stuff you're smoking.
24-year old Amaré whose game is still improving dominates in this system and is a key piece of this team's success. Nearly 32-year old Garnett does not have the stamina to play in D'Antoni's system and would slow this team to a halt. I agree that this year is the Suns' best chance with Nash, but swapping Amaré for an aging KG is not the way to get there.

Hmmm... Mortgage the future to win now...
Why does that sound familiar?

Heck no. Now, Banks and a pick (not Atlanta's) for Posey I would do just because we'll have a real Dirk-stopper (if one exists, it's Posey)

Nash out of All-Star game
Too bad for him, as far as being able to list it as another entry on his resume/application for the HOF...
...but better news for the Suns overall, as they've shown how much they really need him over the past few games...
