Hello folks:

My name is Michael and some of you may know me from the MLB-sponsored D-Back forum. I also posted on SnakePit during the early part of the season.

I came here mainly because I got sick of the shenanigans on the official MB. Perfectly good threads and posts getting deleted. Yuk.

I probably won't do a huge amount of posting here as I am not a big fan of the D-Backs FO and all the changes they have made. But I will try and lurk and learn a lot from you guys. Many of you already know my opinions so I won't rehash them here unless you ask.

Thanks very much - this forum uses the same software as "Golden Road", the Price is Right MB I used to be active on!

I appreciate your honesty about your opinions. I especially admire you for being willing to read and lurk at a site where you know in advance many of the opinions espoused here will be quite different from those that you currently hold. That shows an open mindedness and willingness to at least understand what the "other side" is saying.

Maybe someday you may even be "converted" Wink

As far as I can tell -- speaking as one of the moderators -- we don't do a lot of deleting here, either of threads or of posts. Oh, every now and then, one of us gets a wee bit over-zealous, and locks down a duplicate thread maybe a bit too early Embarassed

-- but we value the opinions of the members of this community, even when we don't agree. All we ask is to keep it civil!

Your approach here is certainly acceptable -- to lurk more than you post; as I am a lurker at the MLB board. (For some reason, the system refuses to recognize my attempts to log in. No doubt, some advanced form of AI has learned a thing or two...) But, as others have already said, there's no "party line" here, and we have disagreements on ideas all the time. Who knows? Make a good argument for your point of view, and you may collect some converts!

There is no reason for you dislike of the FO to keep you from posting. The only time a difference in opinion is bad is when it is uncivil.
