Hey daddy d. A Brewer fan here. Thanks to Doug for his time in Milwaukee. Sorry it didn't work out longer there. Good luck to him in Arizona.

Like most here I am overjoyed with the addition of your son to our staff. He fits in well and with a reduction in walks I expect him to thrive in the desert.

Though I have already said welcome, I want to ask you to pass on my thanks to Doug for signing the three year deal. It would have been easy for him to play out the one year left and toss his hat into the free agent circus, thanks for showing faith in the Diamondbacks.

Looking foward to watching him pitch.

Kyle

I'll echo Kyle here.

Thank you for your support of the team, daddy d. The fact that you've found your way here says a lot about how much you care about the team. Also, thanks to Doug for his commitment to the D-backs, as opposed to Jeff Weaver who's signed a one-year deal in order to get out on the free agent market next year. I think with a good defense and less pressue, Doug will not repeat last year and be a much better pitcher like in the years before last.

From all Diamondbacks fans: Thanks!

(Edited for grammar.)

Looking forward to seeing our solid staff and young offensive talent in action. Get the feeling this is the beginning of the run we've been waiting for ... Welcome aboard, Daddy D.

daddy d = Doug Davis' Dad?

very good class. Now, can anyone guess how Momma D got her nickname?

Here's a hint...it has nothing to do with her parental status but it does have something to do with twins ( not the ones from MN ). Wink

Thanks, Doug enjoyed playing in Milwaukee. The times that I visited I walked the parking lot to talk to the tailgaters and visited some of the old bars. Wolski's and Champions are two that I recall the most. very hospitable. I hope that I have the same experience in AZ. Good luck to the Brewers except when they play the D-BACKS.

Well, unfortunately, there is no tailgating culture among D Backs fans. But thats understandable, because for most of the season, it's just too hot outside to stand around a parking lot.

But there is a bar culture of sorts around the park... and a number from this board made hanging pre-game at the establishment once known as Tmar's a regular routine.

have we all decided where we're hanging out for the 2007 season yet? if you guys don't want to post it to the board, PM or email me, if you'd be so kind.

I'll be at Madison's, armed, and without my teeth.

Hello all I am new here to. I saw this site mentioned at the Dbacks forum. I am hoping this one is better. So far it seems to be. I am near Tucson and I go to as many Sidewinders games as I can.

Welcome to the board that doesn't suck. Smile

As opposed to the other one, which sucks like a new Hoover vacuum.
