A badass ANYTHING will scare the shit out of them and be counterproductive.
Not after they're 6. Seems the kids it would scare are probably sitting in their parents' laps. And compared to Halo and other vid games, a badass mascot would be nothing. But I also think we should be discouraging 5 and under from coming to the Yard in general.
Maybe an ill-tempered snake with a meaner disposition and laser beams attached to its head for a mascot?

I'm an adult (in age) and snakes scare the crap out of me. Not that I'd be scared by a mascot, but you know...
I was watching Max Ex the other day and they were showing a guy and his family in India who loved snakes and had tons of them slithering all through the house and all over them. And all poisonous varieties. Freaked me out.
