Jose Vidro told the Washington Post that he has been dealt to the Mariners, reportedly for Chris Snelling and Emiliano Fruto.

The Mariners already have Jose Lopez at 2B. He's inexpensive and probably still under their control for at least a few more years.

Does this mean they've got another trade up their sleeve?

Anyone lamenting the D-Backs not making enough trades yet this offseason should read the Mariners blog on this trade.

JB should be on the phone right now with the Mariners trying to get Ichiro for Jorge Julio, with Seattle eating most of Ichiro's salary of course.
