Randy's perfecto is on TV right now. FSN AZ. I think it's channel 34, if you have Cox. 7-9:30 AZ time.

Mods, I didn't know if gameday threads or team news or what was right. Please feel free to move as you wish.

God, Shea Hillenbrand used every iota of his fielding abilities getting that leadoff bunt attempt.

hey, it's a slightly less fat and cranky estrada!

edit: grace just said something about it "not being unusual" for estrada to have "twelve to fifteen pitch at-bats." Shocked wtf, did atlanta have two guys named johnny estrada, and they traded us the assy one?

second edit: why are they showing those commercials where the life size johnny estrada love doll gets delivered to the kid named "chase field" still? i mean... i understand this is a historic game and all, and i'd be okay with a historic baseball promo. but as of now, estrada is not with us. and as of 2004, estrada was not with us. weird.

The biggest thing that stands out for me watching this so far.... the previous GM (who shall not be named) was a friggin' dumb ass.

for real? i mean, for real? in two at-bats, estrada has seen 17 pitches. i do believe that's the total number he saw the last two or three months of the season for arizona.

good riddance, you hacktastic piece of crap. Mad

oh, and yeah, he who shall not be named was a total dumbass. it still stings, hearing them talk about how the season could still turn around, now that richie sexson is taking some swings again.

you know, i was at the game where he initially hurt himself. we could hear him yell -- that freaked me out. i never, ever had too much hope for him coming back after that. every time they had one of those teasers saying he'd hopefully be back soon, i just heard that scream again.

You'd think they would take those Estrada commercials with the old colors with Thom narrating off the air...

Can't get much more out of date than that.

Tuned in just in time to relive the 9th inning.

Spent the earlier evening watching UFC on SPIKE live at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station. My son is stationed there now and had a front-row seat while talking to his dad on his cell phone on camera throughout the event. Love those special father/son times. Very Happy
