Free agent pitcher Ted Lilly, who earlier in the day ruled out returning to Toronto, agreed Wednesday night to a $40 million, four-year contract with the Chicago Cubs.

I can't wait to start laughing when some of these high slareid free agents lay eggs. Will Lilly do well for the Cubs? Or will he follow in the foosteps of ( drum roll) RUSS ORTIZ? Laughing Laughing Laughing

Lilly and Doug Davis are about four months apart in age. Both are lefthanded starters. You now know what AZ is up against to sign him to an extension (and why the Brewers felt like they had to let him go now).
