The Giants and Bengie Molina have agreed to terms on a three-year deal, according to Yahoo! Sports.
They learned nothing from Mike Matheny. Absolutely nothing. Molina is rapidly turning into a below average defender, and he could also lose it offensively at any time. Plus, there just didn't seem to be anyone else interested. That the Giants are giving him a three-year deal anyway is going to qualify as another one of the worst moves of the winter. |
the Giants are turning into the Orioles of the NL....I love it.

OMG.... it would really suck to be a Giants fan now. But that goes with the territory--so many obnoxious & arrogant fans seem to hang out at their park (and treat Dbacks fans badly) |

Bengie Molina's three-year deal with the Giants is expected to be worth about $15 million.
That Brian Sabean, he's one shrewd negotiator. We wonder how high he might have gone had he actually been bidding against another team.

And lest we not forget, they signed Rich Aurilia to play first base. That means they have Aurilia and Pedro "Can't Hit an Off-Speed Pitch" Feliz at the corner infield positions. Wow. The D-Backs have been getting owned up here whenever BOND and I go, but that should turn around in a hurry starting in 2007.
