Think of it like a Texas Hold'em hand where 4th st. didn't help either guy, but the guy that had the small advantage now has a really big advantage, just by attrition, while the underdog is hoping for a miracle on the river.

FWIW - on Baseball tonight, both Kurkigen (sp - i f'd it up) and hershiser both picked carpenter as thier guy... citing such things as run support, era, and wins and losses... even though webb leads in wins.. i dont get it.. basically the same shit shoe has been preaching...

i think its over... fuck.

carps really got to screw himself out of it in sd next week...
