okay, i was playing with that win expectancy thing.
4th inning, down 3 runs:
bases loaded, no outs: 33.3% chance at winning it
bases loaded, 1 out: 22% chance
bases loaded, 2 outs: 21.3% chance
fifth inning, still down three runs: 13.4%
i don't know if i'm using this gadget right, but this is depressing. it's like watching the blood drip from this team, drop by drop, until it's dead.

CoJack -- first pitch hacking...
Gonzo - first pitch swinging
Good point by Grace: Two consecutive walks, and the next batter doesn't take the first pitch?

I wasn't gonna post anymore today, but DAMN IT ALL TOO HELL
Two walks, and then gonzo comes up and pops up on the first pitch to LF, and it's first pitch SWINGING? NOT HACKING?????
Thoms said it, and the Grace repeated it.
I'm sorry guys....no pass from me tonight. I know he's leaving and all...but lets be a little consistent. A first pitch hack is a first pitch hack, NO MATTER WHO THE FUCK IT IS AT THE PLATE.
ok? |

Shoewizard will no longer be posting tonight, because he wants to keep his post count at 911. just so y'all know.

OK, despite the claim that we're putting our best lineup out there, we're really here to roll over for the Pods so the Doggers won't win the NL West, right?
Geez, ya get a really good play by Quentin, and then a long home run on a hanging slider...

Well, at least Thom said CQ was first pitch swinging, even though he popped out in foul territory...
Dbacks help Hoffman get one step closer to being the pitcher with the most saves, while allowing the Pods to (probably) regain 1st place...

For someone drafted in the 17th round and making his major league debut at age 26, he looked great tonight!
2 innings, 3 K's, 0 hits, 0 BB's, 0 runs.

Maybe he should pitch the first inning for the Dbacks... then bring in the starter...

Nobody mentioned Carlos Quentin's circus catch to rob Piazza in the 5th. Up until August 22nd, that would have been at least a double.
Livan surrendered a HR to the next hitter, so Carlos directly prevented 1 run with his catch.
