Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't platoon splits generally much more significant for LHBs than RHBs?

Without doing a painstaking empirical study my guess would be definitely yes. My theory is that LHBs don't face as many same handed pitchers from Little League through the HOF so just don't get the exposure.

Then based on that, it should be a greater concern that a team has too many LH starters than RH starters.

All else being equal, if I had a choice between having my entire rotation made up of only lefties or only righties, generally I'd take all righties.
