Keeping with the RJ trade, how about a full circle Cruz back to the Cubbies ( along with Byrnes ) package for Scott Eyre and maybe Donald Veal or Sean Gallagher?
Maybe that is asking too much.

How does trading one relief pitcher for another do anything to solve the logjam at RP?

Doesn't make much sense if the purpose of the trade package is to address a logjam in the bullpen. (IS there a logjam in the BP?)
If, on the other hand, the purpose of the trade is to get rid of a certain FotF/LF... Well, that's another story entirely!
Eric Byrnes MUST be traded... [/Cato mode]

Unfortunately, I have yet to find an "English to Latin" translation site (along the lines of Babelfish at altavista.com) that would allow me to express the thought more "classically." The closest I've managed is, "Eric Byrnes deve essere commerciato!" (Well, Italian is sorta like Latin, right?)

This means: "Eric Byrnes is Dangerfield's wife"?

I'm thinking that we get another effective PB lefty for a righty ( without options ) and save $ on Byrnes, give Hairston's weak D ( baseball gods forbid ) a shot in LF and pick up someone not required to be on the 25 man.
