So after acquiring Doug Davis, are we done with our off-season pitching rotation bolstering moves? It will be lovely to get someone who is also proven. It's nice that we finally have a lefty, three 200 innings guys, but I think we still lack the #2 ace. Can we still acquire Freddy Garcia or Jake Westbrook? If the rotation stands pat it looks like we'll see Webb-Hernandez-Davis-Edgar Gonzalez-Eveland (Owings/MacLane), but I would rather see Garcia or Westbrook in there.

| If Arizona is able to get another good starter on their terms, I'm sure they will. I also think they're looking to further improve the team. |

| Looks like the Sox's are ready to deal Freddy Garcia but it looks like the Angels will be first in line according to Chicago media. Names mentioned were Garcia/Crede for Santana/Figgins. |

why would the angels trade santana for garcia? i'm not entirely certain garcia is going to outperform santana next season, much less in future seasons.
and yesterday the rumor was santana + parts for manny. maybe it's my red sox bias, but i liked that trade a lot more.

I do also, I also wonder what it would take to get Garcia & Crede from CHW or Santana from LAA. The interesting portion of the Crede part is we could then flip Tracy for more pitching.

Who do the Angels have at 1B? If they can't pull a superstar for Santana, then maybe they'd move him for pieces. Still, what are our other options at 3B?
