The Yanks picked up Sheffield's $13 million option, but seem intent on trading him. And Sheffield's pissed. But he's 38 and Abreu's 32.

Would anybody want Sheff on the team? What would it take? It'd be a hell of an improvement over Byrnes.

Forget that... id rather give hairston a shot - that is unless NYY paid just about all of that contract... But even then... do you want his deadass attitude around the kids??? We just got rid of a malcontent LFer... and a trying to get rid of a catcher that is acting the same way...

I would be majorly surprised if anyone wanted to put sheffield in with all of our young guys. He's a guy whose talent is fading, has chronic attitude problems and would cry cry cry in the newspapers every day. Fuck Sheffield.

Even if his attitude wasn't a problem, he's old and looking for a multi-year big dollar deal or he's going to just be unbearable <as if he's not when he's happy>.

did sheff really throw a bunch of games in milwaukee because he wasn't happy? what did he do? i've heard that he did and that he didn't from brewers fans, so i'm not sure what to believe.
