Is he coming to the realization that contending teams might not be beating down the door to get him to play a shitty LF? |

I believe it was during his 9/15 press conference that Luis said he no longer wanted to go to the Marlins because his goal is to play in another World Series.
Devil Rays in the WS? |

Bring it on...
Can't wait to see our speedsters taking advantage of the arm in LF...

Sure. All they need is a Gonzo to lead them...

Gonzo would consider Devil Rays
"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?" (Matthew 6:28b-30, KJV) |

Great quote, but how do you tie that into Gonzo/Tampa Bay?

I'm betting on an exercise in surrealism (or an LSD trip), based on the thread title... That tends to happen to me (with movies)

I think he is saying the Devil Rays are better than you think, and Gonzo would be lucky to get a job with them. |

What the President meant to say was,
"Consider the Rays of the field, how they play; they toil not, neither do they practice: And yet I say unto you, That even Steinbrenner in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if Gonzo doth clothe himself with the grass of left field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clobber you, O ye of little faith?"

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!

OHMYOHMYOHMYOHMYOHMYOHMY...
Ha... what a rush!
Pass the brownies, please...

i threw my back out yesterday. i'm only 25, but i threw out my back. it hurt so bad today, and i took my painkillers but it didn't do anything. so i took more of them. and then a little more. and then, i partook of a brownie.
and all of the sudden, everything kicked in at once. it's 3pm, i'm home in my underwear, my back feels great but i'm in the dark because the mailman is at the door and i'm paranoid. oh, and i'm drooling. but i think that's because of the painkillers.
so, needless to say, EJ's quote is sorta freaking me out.
my dog is staring into my soul.

That's right man! Ahh, good times I tell you, good times.
One time we took some and my gf (sober) took us to the grocery store. I thought it would be fun to get my blood pressure checked. I swore that machine was going to rip my arm off but I kept my cool.
Another time, my parents were out of town and we took some. My sister dropped by to say hi. None of us had said anything out of the ordinary or was acting different but she took one look at us and definitively said "You're on acid"

Delusional minds have nothing to do with this, if true..........
Reality has finally set in for Gonzo as he realizes the sun is setting fast on his baseball career as a daily lineup player.
I'd be absolutely shocked if TB signed Gonzo............for any serious money at least.

yeah, there's no way tb would have any interest. they have young good players. i'd be rather surprised if he's picked up anywhere as more than a platoon.

Me too... i like TBs outfield anyway... seems like he would want playing time... doesnt make alot of sense.. i still see SD as the most likely of potential spots for him...
