Yeah, Bonderman is making himself untouchable trade-wise right here.
Great performance thus far. |

This is just great.
George is going to blow a freaking gasket if the Mets make it to the next round and the Yankees fall right here, especially if they let somone join the hallowed ranks of Don Larson in the process...

Congrats to the Tigers and their fans! Detroit gets the last laugh after going into the playoffs as the Wild Card. What a cool celebration they just had on the field with their fans.
After watching that, do you get a sense that they felt they had very little chance to beat the Spankees going into this series? Somewhere, Steinbrenner and McCray are both foaming at the mouth - for entirely different reasons. |

Tigers win...Yankees lose. Hopefully the Dodgers are next.
But for McCray, I think Bonderman just pitched himself out of our price range...I think we can pretty much take him off the list of possibilities.
Even if they do trade him, Jackson and one of the other blue chippers probably wouldn't get it done. He's gonna cost a lot and teams will pay it because of today's performance...which was outstanding. |

Congrats to the Tigers (particularly Brandon Inge, Craig Monroe, Ramon Santiago, Omar Infante, Jeremy Bonderman, Mike Maroth, Wilfredo Ledezma, Jamie Walker and Fernando Rodney. all members of the woful 03 team)...and congrats to McCray. From 43-119 to ALCS in three years is not too shabby. Just goes to show how big a deal pitching is. Stealing Game 2 after being down 3-1 was huge. Then it was just a matter of Rogers and Bonderman totally dominanting the Yankees bats.
