when robertson tried to field damon's (i think) infield single, and it slipped between his fingers, i just got this terrible gut feeling that that was it, that was the game. same inning, no more outs recorded, 2 runs in, runner on second.
abreu scores. 3-0. still 0 outs.
this team just never stops kicking me in the nuts.

wang tips his pitches. look at his release point for slider/sinker. that should be easy enough to pick up from a batter's pov.

maybe his sinker's just good enough he can tip it. i've heard that about webb before, fwiw -- that he tips the sinker but you can't do shit about.
but they ought to sit on that slider.

Not necessarily.
Despite all of our efforts to bring our children up right, to point them, by instruction and example to be model citizens with a sound moral foundation, my oldest daughter traded her cheering for the Dodgers (at the threat of being cast into the outer darkness) with a tendency to root for the Yankees. (I'm so ashamed... )
My only hope is that she will come to her senses one day, and join her youngest sister and me in rooting whole-heartedly for the Diamondbacks.
Perhaps the same may be true for SweetSacrifice as well -- she will see the error of her ways, and enlist with the forces of good and right and light against the minions of the Evil Empire...

ahhh well I hate the yankees as much as any of you do..I also hate the tigers, and my royals play them 50 billion times during the season, it gets annoying that a team that was on the bottom is now at the top...So its not normal for someone like me to wish them to burn in flames. However Iwant the same thing for the yanks..but neither one of my teams play the yanks that much and they just dont seem as annoying at the point

If not already obvious from the "Surprise, Az" location, your KC Royals confession should reveal your "other" message board identities.
Can you clarify the Tiger hatred a bit? I was under the impression that Yankee hatred trumped ALL others....

oh darn, i am the only royal fan in the nation anymore? LOL
See I hate teams within my divisions, plus the Yankees. IF the tigers can go down in this round and the yankees go down in the 2nd round, I will be a very happy person. I dont like the fact that the tigers are in the playoffs..ok im jealous that my team sucks...so what, lol. oooh plus the tiger "trolls" that invade the royal board, Iwant to slap. ITs just like yankee trolls on every MLB board. Annoying little brats where you want them to be as miserable as you are
thats all I have to say about that, lol.

The "logic" would indicate that if a team that sucked as badly as Tigers recently did... could make the playoffs, then hope DOES exist for the Royals to do the same.
However, I can understand the Tiger hatred if Tiger trolls are polluting your Royals message board home. Just like I was finally able to understand why Cardinals fans (especially ones that live in St. Louis) hate the hapless Cubs sooooo much. I didn't really understand that hatred until going to a weekend series against the Cubs at Busch Stadium... and seeing how frickin' obnoxious many Cubs fans were there. |
