I may be the only one, but I haven't got the slightest idea of what you're talking about...

Is there a link we can reference? Thanks...

Here's the story. Can't find a video of it however. Sounds nasty.

from the lack of detail in the first post and the warning, i thought for sure it was going to be a nut injury.

like this:

There is a link to the video of the collision found just below the headlines on the page found here.

It's not immediately obvious from the video what the injury might be.

The report of hearing a "pop" isn't good. I hope it isn't similar to the play in which Joe Theismann's leg was broken -- a career-ending injury, to boot, for Joe.

You can see the curve in his leg, where there isnt supposed to be a curve in his leg.

Good luck in his recovery. I really like him as a player, and he seems like a nice, stand up guy...

sucks...

I was in Pittsburgh a few years ago, sitting about 15 rows back between home and first, when I witnessed Jason Kendall's ankle snap as he landed on first base awkwardly. I was close enough to where I could see the bone sticking out through the skin. It is by far the worst sports injury I've ever seen in person.

This is so sad. Nick's career seems to be derailed by injury every time he gets it going again,.....and this is by far the worst.

I really feel terrible for the guy.

You can see his lower leg just flop as he rolls over.

As a Cincinnati guy, I remember Tim Krumrie's injury in the Super Bowl in '89 (Bengals vs. 49ers). He caught his cleats, got hit, his body spun around--but his leg didn't. Both bones in his lower leg snapped, and his leg was flapping like a flag in the breeze. Probably the most gruesome thing I saw on TV until The Osbournes.

i'd kill for video too. that pitch must have had some serious to break to get the guy to swing and then smack him in the nads.

As a team, the Cubs seem to be especially cursed when it comes to dented cups.

In fact surgery was required on their catcher after a recent onfield rendition of The Nutcracker (not pictured here).
