Hey guys, I just wanted to say thank you for providing a sanctuary. I have been mostly lurking the past week just to get familiar with everything/everyone and to catch up on some of the more engaginf posts.

I got weary of trying to force good discussion on the other board so here I am. It's really sad that the MLB board has gotten to the point that it's at now. Kind of like seeing your old house torn down.

Anyway, I look forward to contriuting to something that is worth my time and thanks to Shoe again for hooking me up with the link. I notice the monikers of a few guys I have spoken with for years at the other site so that's cool.

Mods, I realize this post may be inappropriate in this thread so feel free to delete at some point. I just wanted to say hi and wasn't sure where to post it.

Thx,

xjwheelr

Welcome! You already realize that Troll infestation isn't allowed to fester here ... and that generally sane people post here and actually use logic and data to back themselves up.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I have been amazed at the totally different atmosphere here. Feels much more like a bunch of guys sitting in a bar talking baseball than that scene from the Holy Grail when they're trying to prove that the girl is a witch and screaming "burn her!"

Novel.

Now... down to business:

Someone needs to tell me where I can get a ...less shy... version of Oden's avatar. Holy cow.

Well, if an avatar is supposed to be a caricatured expression of ones self, I just want to say that my avatar is nothing like me! I just dug this picture of a pretty girl and used it until I could find something better. I can't

So I looked her up and found her name: Elin Grindemyr. She is so my type. And a quick GIS found me my new wallpaper.

She's a Swedish model and her name is Elin Grindemyr. I'll let you Google up the rest. That avatar pic has been around the net for a couple of years now.

What else was this thread about? Oh, welcome from a lurker.

Tiger Woods married Elin Nordegren, a Swedish swimsuit model and nanny.

Link to her pic

I think I'll have to pull out the Big Bertha to hit that...

That's Lauren Haire, the ASU student that backed into the job of walking around the field, looking hot, and talking to people on the jumbotron.
