The first 2007-2008 regular season NFL game, New Orleans at Indianapolis, starts in 77 days. Any interest on the board of setting up a fantasy league?

I'm interested in seeing Indy kick NO's ass (and a repeat ring in 2008)! Razz

I need to play 2 of these 3.

Ronnie Brown @Hou
Reggie Bush vs CAR
Shawn Alexander @ PITT

Thoughts?

I was thinking of sitting Bush - he hasnt done shit, but now is main man...

Id go Brown and Bush

Alexander has the injury and is playing a good Steeler D. Tough since Bush isn't performing well, but I'd go with them two

Thanks - That is what i have now, and that is a good point about steelers at home - after a loss. Im sure they are fired up. That was my thinking anyway... Bush hasnt done much though.

Edit - anyone else have thoughts on the matter?

Alexander - this will be the best run defense he's faced all year, but they'll try to run a lot on Pittsburgh. Edge had what, 22 carries and almost 80 yards and a TD, so I'd expect about the same from Alexander.

Bush - even with McAllister out he'll surely not get more than 15-20 carries. But he will be on the field more, so his potential for more receiving yards is there. Carolina's D is below average and if NO's offense is ever going to snap out of it, needs to be soon.

Brown - Houston's run defense is good, but they can be passed on. Miami's run defense is absolutely horrible, so Houston will try to run a lot. I'd imagine Brown will get a few more attempts this week, but he's catching more balls too.

I'd start Brown and Alexander, unless you believe this is the week NO breaks out of their slump.

Bush is also at home on the turf.

I do think Bush will break out this week. He is coming off a bye as well. Then there is the Carolina D which is probably the weakest run D of the 3.

I dont like the idea of Running alexander against Pitts D at THIER place. Edge did it here. I think PITT is going to take the run away, and i am also worried about SA fumbling - which he has avoided (stats wise) so far.

You like Alexander more than Brown?

Edit - bush is also at home on turf - that is good.

I like Brown and then whichever of the other two you prefer. I also try to look at the other team's match up - whether Pittsburgh will run or pass on Seattle. I think Pittsburgh will try to run more, so Seattle will too, but who knows. I'd love to see NO finally click, but I'd hate to start a guy on hope. I'd also hate to not start Bush when he finally goes off. I know, this isn't much help. Smile

Yeah - i think i agree.

I have a little bit of an advantage with the team that i am up against as he has a team that had 3 Bengals on offense (BYE week), so i am willing to take a little more of a chance on Bush - because i think i dont need "safe" points at this point.

Thanks for the help fellas - i still have time to decide, so anyone else who wants to weigh in - i would appreciate it - but for now - im sticking with Brown, Bush.

The best advise I can give when trying to decide between two players is to read their team's local sports pages for clues. For example, Lovie Smith says the Bears are going to run more this Sunday after attempting 60 passes last week. Any mentions like that are comforting to know, especially to Benson owners.
