on a game-day thread it gets overlooked.
A Tale of Two Home-Runs. It was hot muggy night. Real muggy night. For October. Carlos Zambrano, well he wasn't going to feck around with SD, after the basehit/sb to Young. Big chief Zambrano, powerhoused, Mr. Drew down in a nasty way in that first abat. Now little did he know, the second time around, after that first time around well, there was an inch missing off his fastball after his adrenaline filled first. And well, Mr. SD, took full advantage of the up down broadway 1-0 pitch and obliged Mr. Zambrano, after the comp in the first, the second time around he made him pay.
Now the second ring a ding dong was Marmol's breaking pitch location and bite. yeah, it was a bit of a problem, but even that wasn't the main souse, of the problem. Fact is, advance scouting wanted to bury Mr. Reynolds all night with breaking/sliders off/on the plate to chase.
Now, for poor Mr. Marmol, Mr. Zambrano's slider had the bite of a diamondback, and was shown to poor Mr. Reynolds, all night. He by far was pitched the nastiest of all our hitters.
Now, the sheriff, unfortunately didn't leave the post for the Cubs. Mr. September wasn't going to be broken. Mr. Marmol, breaking stuff is okay, but after Mr. Zambrano's power slider..welll Marmols slider had the the kind of mixer spin like a blender that's been used one too many times for Margarita's. And that my friend is the tale of two homers. 800 feet of homers.
