CNNSI has an article ranking MLB stadiums by "fan experience." Chase comes in at #16. I question their methodology, though, because Fenway, Dodger Stadium, and Wrigley Field are all at the bottom of the list. Granted, these three don't have many amenities, but if we're talking about "fan experience," these three should rank higher.

Had to be written by some young'un, who gives no credence to tradition. Hard to beat the old time experiences at Fenway and Wrigley. NO frickin way do they rank near the bottom (unless you're totally fascinated by Jumbotrons)

OTOH, both Shea and RFK ARE dumps. He's got them pegged.

Wrigley: You're watching the Cubs. Only a true sadist can enjoy their suckitude while watching Dusty destroy promising young arms.

Dodger Statium: You are surrounded by LA fans. How is that fun?

The Metrodome in the top 10? What is this guy smoking?

I think places like Fenway, Wrigley, Yankee Stadium, Petco, and Safeco are pulled down by their relatively high ticket and concession costs.

For my money, my three favorite ballpark experiences are Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Wrigley, probably in that order.

To enjoy the experience at Wrigley more, just take a road trip with your favorite team and watch them play AT Wrigley. It only becomes depressing them when the Cubs miraculously beat your team. Went there last year to see Dbacks series... Friday game was fine until they blew the lead in the bottom of the 9th--Geez, from the Cubbies fan reaction, you'd think that they just won the World Series. (they HAVE to celebrate when they can)

The next two games at Wrigley went well, with Conor supplying the winning knock Saturday in a well played game. (Of course, BoMel benched Conor on Sunday, but the Dbacks still won)

fenway is the best place in the world to watch a game. my grandpa took me when i was 6 years old to a game at fenway -- i just spent half an hour looking on retrosheet and i found it.

http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/B08260BOS1987.htm

i remembered clemens losing, and spike owen playing ss. the good sox did come back a bit. they were down 5-0, but ended the game 5-3. ozzie guillen led off for chicago.

but fenway is an amazing. it is everything baseball is supposed to be about when you're a child. i sat so close to the field (closest i had ever sat to a game until last night's seats) that i could hear the players cuss. i thought it was so cool. and all the adults were blitzed in the sun. every question i had (and i was 6 years old; i had a lot of 'em) could be answered by one of the drunks around me. nobody left their seats, nobody left early. it was just a beautiful day, a beautiful game. wow.
