Darn, have you heard? Bankruptcy is forcing all six Krispy Kreme donut shops in the Valley to close. Now we finally know why KenKen and Mooron signed Russ Ortiz, his royal fatassness was good for something in the Valley.
Hey, maybe they shouldn't make this decision in haste; the newest member of the Diamondbacks sure looks like someone who can easily devour a thousand Krispy Kream donuts a day, huh?

Krispy Kreme stock has been plummeting ever since the day that the Dbacks signed Donut Boy.... A connection?

More empty calorie thoughts on the King of Donuts...

While you can make an argument for a few players as to who is the best pitcher in baseball, there is really no debating about who is the worst. That distinction goes to former Diamondback Russ Ortiz, who is actually worse in an Orioles uniform than he was in a D-Backs one. Now that may be hard to believe, considering in six games with Arizona Ortiz went 0-5 with a 7.54 ERA. But check out these numbers in Baltimore - 9 games, 5 starts, 0-3 record with a 10.80 ERA. On the season Ortiz has given up 67 hits, 34 walks and 47 runs in 46 innings. The best decision the D-Backs made this season was sparing the fans from having to see him take the mound ever again. |

I've heard the fan complaints about Perlozzo picking up over the past couple of weeks as the Orioles fall further and further below .500. I am not saying Perlozzo hasn't made some mistakes. I am surprised that he has been so patient with Russ Ortiz. |

Surprisingly however I understand the franchise is thriving in Baltimore. |

You know you suck when it's August and you can give up two runs on 3 hits and a walk and both your ERA and WHIP go down. |

Its funny.. i think he really feels that he is making good pitches...
i think what he is really missing, is that sometimes what is "good" for us, isnt quite good enough to beat other guys at a very high level...
my version of a "good" fastball is going to cut it at a high level...
feel bad for the guy.. he just doesnt get it... |
