I couldn't stop laughing. I figured I'd post it for those of you that weren't able to make it to the game. I'm not sure if they showed it on Tv or if anyone talked about it on the game thread, but it was awesome.
Here is a link about the NY Times talking about it. I hope can find it on you tube?

Oh BTW, What a great game and a long one at that. I think I had more to drink tonight than yesterday.
and what's up with those darn beach balls? I kept on trying to pop them but many of our fans seemed thrilled with them. |

That was funny. Everyone laughed when it panned over to the goat next to him.

Well, maybe they'll show Mariotti kissing the goat's ass next.

I laughed my ass off when I seen it.
of course the Cubby fan that were in my section thought it was terrible.
But they are a distance memory now. |

Hopefully we'll see less of them and more D-backs fans instead at Chase Field next season.

I still want to see a video of a Mariotti look alike kissing the goat's ass goodbye.

Reading the Cubs boards, they seem to be more pissed off about these kiss cam antics than the series itself. I don't get it. There was nothing nasty about those spoofs. They were funny. Since when is it off limits to poke fun at your opponent?

Maybe they can't see it clearly from staring into that neon light from Game 1. |

Better to spoof...
Than have a die hard Cubs fan have to go into permanent hiding (witness protection type security) so that he isn't murdered by a rabid, scapegoating Cubs fan in Chicago.

maybe I'm a little misguided, but this is exactly why I hate cubs fans. They get so defensive over something like that meant as nothing more to poke fun but yet are so eager to talk trash at every opportunity they get and even get downright dirty about it. I saw quite a few cubs fans in my section during game 1 that made it a point to start talking down to the D'backs fans about how game 2 was gonna be different and asked where the fans were all season, etc. (not to say that's really hard hitting trash there and not the best of examples, but my point is there). It seems almost like they can dish it out but can't take it in return.
In my mind there's a difference between just jovially poking fun at one another's fanbase and team and talking shit, which I think Cubs fans are more apt to do the latter than the former.
