...The Rockies have taken the first two games of this series (vs. the Yanks) to clinch a sixth straight series win, which is a franchise first. In fact, at 8-0-1 over their past nine series, the Rockies are enjoying the best stretch in team history. Since May 22, Colorado is the best team in baseball with a 19-7 mark.

It's sad that 6 in a row is a franchise first.

Hey, it takes time to work up to these things. After all this is just their 15th season in Colorado. Laughing

on a somewhat more serious note, that is 6 straight series wins, not 6 straight wins

Believe me, I noticed they are right behind and closing fast.

Gotta be easier to play the Yanks are home then in Yankee stadium unless you are an AL team and do it all the time.

True. But they just took two out of three at Fenway as well.

Yeah...I know...and they crushed them like 19-3 over the final two games. I pointed that out in one thread already.

They are a good young team and have a good lineup. I hope their pitching doesn't continue to hold up as it has lately.

This division is insane. Four out of 5 teams all within 4.5 games of first place.

Meanwhile, the Giants....well they just suck. Very Happy

Well, hopefully they continue to beat up teams that are ahead of us in the standings as well. AZ is almost finished with thier games against COL for this year... IIRC..

6 left, Aug 31-Sep 2 at home and then they finish the season in Colorado with 3 games Sept 28-30

The weird part of the schedule is they have an extra trip to Pittsburgh for 3 games, (two trips to Pitt when you usually only have one) and there is no off day, they fly back from Pitt to Colorado and play the next day.

THAT could be a problem.

The way things are shaping up right now, pitching injuries in LA and SD, the Rockies could be making a move right now.

It would not surprise me to see this team in 1st by the end of August.
