sounds like a good opportunity to make it 8 in a row...Hopefully BWebb can keep up the amazing starting pitching of late. |

Shouldn't the thread title be edited to read 6/1? |

7/1 DBacks @ Mets? I feel like Rumpelstiltskin. Did we do okay in June?

At the pace everyone else is going, it'll probably be a 5 way tie.

Guess it's been a few years since I read the stories. Rumpelstiltskin is Boras.

Brandon Webb is 1-6 in his career against the Mets, but he has an ERA of 2.59. He's also lost six straight decisions against the Mets. New York, meanwhile, is 15-3 against the Diamondbacks since 2005.
It's time for retribution.

Uh oh....where's Levski?

In the mean time, I think either Byrnes or Hudson should be leading off this year. |
Before the season started, I had suggest Hudson leadoff and Drew bat 2nd.
I don't think it really matters too much...but they just need to keep a couple of high OBP guys in the leadoff and 2nd spots if at all possible. They should just play the platoon matchups and the the hot hand to achieve that.
By the way, as a leadoff hitter, Chris Young is batting
101 PA .326/.347/.547, 3 walks and 18 K's
All other positions in the order:
71 PA .203/.268/.344 5 walks and 7 K's
Go figure.

shoewizard was too fast for me... as usual
Guys, I moved the discussion about the best leadoff hitter to the "Team News" forum -- as it's larger than a GameDay discussion -- imo, of course... |

I figured I'd get fried for that.
I would really like Young in the leadoff spot, if it weren't for his run-producing abilities. As you showed, though, he has exceled in that capacity this year. Who knows; maybe he can be our Soriano.
