Ok, I figured out why everything sucks, I haven't been posting gameday threads! Everything will change now. |

After dropping four straight and 10 of 12 games (and 15 of 21 games since the return of diamondbacksbullpen.com), Arizona will rely on right-hander Brandon Webb to stop the bleeding when a four-game series at RFK Stadium concludes on Sunday.
Ever the risk-taker, matt is gambling his game-day start on Webb, whose 3.02 ERA ranks fourth in the Major Leagues. Brandon will try for his 15th victory, which would establish a new career high in that department.
The Diamondbacks saw their stretch of errorless games end at six in Saturday's nightcap, when catcher Chris Snyder threw wildly to second trying to catch Alfonso Soriano stealing, allowing the Nationals speedster to move to third, although that call is still under review with McCray.
Pitching matchup
AZ: Brandon Webb (14-5, 3.02)
Webb's 14 victories are tied for the National League lead. In his last outing on Monday versus San Diego, he allowed three runs on six hits and four walks over 7 1/3 innings.
Nats: Tony Armas Jr.(8-10, 5.28 )
Armas, one of the pitchers counted upon to pick up the slack when Livan Hernandez was dealt to Arizona last month, has struggled of late. The right-hander is 1-5 in his last seven starts and has reached the sixth inning in only two of those outings.
Player to watch
After going 3-for-8 in Saturday's doubleheader, rookie outfielder Chris Young has hit in seven of his first 10 Major League games. |

I'm a little late on this, but Webb had Johnson struck out. Get Hank.

That was a great ab by CoJack, but one thing he's going to have to working on, is looking for that pitch inside, and making guys pay. That's a pitch he can handle and drive for extra bases.

I'm listening to the game via radio today, but does anyone else notice how the announcers seem to be making excuses for everyone vs calling them out <unless they're a rookie>. |

I'm not sure how much of this game I can stomach just listening to the announcers slobbering all over the Nationals players. Nothing but excuses for the AZ team and verve for the opponents. Why do we even have "home town" announcers, they should just pipe in the visitors commentators and save some salary. |

I guess you just can't win, although I'd rather hear slobbering over Webb than Logan. |

Okay, so I know Tracy just picked up a big HR, but does anyone else think he should start crowding the plate a little more? Chad seems to love inside pitches, but they are usually balls and he swings at them. Perhaps if he stepped in more, he would start swinging at more strikes and be more prepared to recognize a pitch being a ball as it's about to hit him. |

Talk about fan apathy, we're at the end of 5 innings and still on page 1. |
