I'm not sure if I totally believe that. Don't teams have a certain time period where they are allowed to make the roster decisions? They shouldn't have done anything until the trade went through. Unless, of course, there was a deadline passing that they needed the rosters set by.
If its true, I feel a lot better about it. If not, it was Byrnes' first big fuckup. |

| This is total revisionist history bs. You don't have to clear roster spots for players you haven't even acquired yet. Uggla may or may not be a player with long term value, but that was one weak-ass explanation for what appears to be a gaffe by the Dback braintrust. |

| I'm not convinced that losing Uggla was a huge brainfart on the Dbacks FO part. He won't come back to haunt them, that's for sure.... |
