So as not to bogart these game-day starts, I’ll take hibernation from starts after winning today’s on an anti-Maddux hedge at Chase Field.

AZ: RHP Claudio Vargas (10-8, 4.89 ERA)
Vargas is 2-0 with a 1.86 ERA in his last three starts.

LA: RHP Greg Maddux (11-11, 4.27 ERA)
Maddux is 1-9 with a 5.25 ERA in his career against the DBacks.
