Management
GM Josh Byrnes and his analytical staff addressed a weakness in the rotation by dealing from areas of strength this offseason, an M.O. that serves to create value, which is especially important for a team on a budget. In his second year on the job, Byrnes has made all the right moves -- signing franchise building blocks Webb and Tracy to long-term contracts and acquiring Hudson, Byrnes and now Johnson and Davis. He is a man with a plan, and management has let him know there will be more money to work with in the future.
