The addition of Wells makes SD's average age 29.6, making them the 3rd oldest team in all of baseball just behind the Mets and Cardinals (and older than Houston minus Clemens). A win it all this year approach for SD?

The comments on the article on Wells at mlbtraderumors are hilarious. Everyone talking about how impressive the Padres pitching is but how their teams is just as good "if only". That of course littered with the dilussional Dodger fans that believe they have the most solid pitching and hitting crew in baseball.
