I thought, or my common sense led me to think, that amphetamines would be one of the prohibited substances regardless of supposed "medical conditions." Obviously, players can get 'scripts for low testosterone issues, yet those drugs are still banned.
The first link from googling "mlb adderall" brings up this (year and a half old) article. Mind = blown.

Doesn't seem as though he's so stand up now I guess. If this website thing turns out to be true, he needs to be suspended minimum of 1 year, if not forever. MLB cannot have players cheating and doing this kind of crap and get by with it.
So does this invalidadte his batting title? All of this was going down during that apparently.

x2. This is not only someone cheating, but someone knowing they were cheating, and coming up with an elaborate plot to hide it.
1 year at least.

I agree with what Gibson said in an interview, 1 year ban for a first time offender and then lifetime for a second offense.

Doesn't keep people from cheating in Track and Field. They have a 2 yr suspension for first offense.

What kills me is it seems like this process had been going on for weeks before Cabrera was actually suspended... who knows when his failed test actually occurred and he was still able to play for weeks while MLB had to unravel his ruse.

Cabreara was found guilty even after an appeal process that played out in private. Braun was never found guilty, nor was he ever afforded a private appeal process.
