No day games? The 51s always have day games on every scheduled Sunday home game, even when it's 115ºF out....

Forgive me if I am wrong but I was under the impression you dont really go to games in an air conditioned park either. I have said it before. I dont understand why Phoenix does not support the Diamondbacks. Very affordable, air conditioned, family friendly, and a very large city. It is embarrassing that more people dont show up to games.

I do try to attend about 10 games a year... but i certainly understand why people cant afford to go to many games - even if AZ is the most affordable MLB team, its still 50-100 for a family of 4?

Can we please attempt to stay on topic before this devolves into where I am afraid it is headed?

Every single home game in Tucson starts at 7pm.

So - in about a month - wont it be 100* at 7 pm?

edit - a bit of hyperbole of course... For whatever the reason - people werent going to the games - do we expect that to change because its the padres? If you do - good luck.

It is very hot during the summer. Even with games starting at 7:00 it can be in the 90s. Having said that it is a game and event I love. The heat wont keep me away although the older I get the more I notice the heat.

The Tucson games were never that bad.

Whereas the temp will remain triple-digits through the night in Phoenix and only drop to the daily low just before sunrise, the temp in Tucson decreases significantly as soon as the sun goes down, not only dropping lower but also remaining at the lower temperature for much longer.

There is a much bigger difference in summer-time weather than just the highs and lows...

From what I understand all games will be on audio and I think you can see all games on line. I need a better computer to watch. Nice feature. Reno has the same option.

I won 4 tickets for opening night. I sent an email hoping I can get those tickets for a different night. I already bought 10 tickets to opening night.

If not, I could ask one of my friends if him and his gf are wanting to go to that game.

Gutsy call to go for the 2-point conversion after scoring the go-ahead TD!
