Ray vs De La Rosa tonight
Ready to hear Bert endlessly ramble on about that stupid mascot the Rockies have?

sheesh, September 2nd has not been a kind date for the D Backs in their history
2-15 on this date.

Robbie Ray against current Rockies players: .329/377/614 link
They gotta find a way to keep Blackmon off base. Either that or just hit him with the first pitch and then try to pick him off. (He's been picked off 4 times this year)

On September 2, 1945, the Japanese signed the documents of surrender aboard the USS Missouri, anchored in Tokyo Bay, formally ending WWII.
Maybe there's a connection?

Arendado fields a shot by Drury, and, without getting to his feet, makes the throw to first for the out.
The Diamondbacks sent nine to the plate while scoring four runs in the top of the fourth.
Wish I'd been here for that...

Zach Godley is now throwing for the Diamondbacks.
Cargo takes strike one.
Fouled off; 0-2
He hits it over Drury's head to the base of the wall in left, scoring Arenado, as the ball ricochets over Drury's head again. Cargo is at second, still only one out, the Rockies lead 6-5, and that's all for Robbie Ray.

Yeah, it was pretty clear after FIVE STRAIGHT SINGLES that Ray wasn't foolin' anyone. So why did it take so long for Hale to get the bullpen going?
