The "Battle for the Basement" starts tonight.

I plan on watch 0 innings of this 3 game crapfest trying to pass itself off as MLB.

You could merge these 2 teams and they still would be hard pressed to play .500 mediocre baseball.

Godspeed to all that watch even 1 inning of this bad baseball.

    Tonight its

    Beer, BBQ and Boom!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th!

Well, you could stick Wil Myers in Left, and Melvin Upton in CF and add Drew Pomeranz to the rotation, and you probably have a .500 team.

This could be used as an example of the phrase, "Damned by faint praise."

I might be quiet during the game today too.

Just wanting to relax and have some steak instead of staring into the computer the entire game.

              Enjoy your 4th DS

I'll be watching today, but it's a tough game to watch, as they overdo the Military stuff.

I think that should be emphasized more on memorial day for sure, but July 4th should focus more on the founding of the country and the history there. Just my opinion.

Didn't think the Diamondbacks' uniforms could look any worse, but those hats are awful.

Let's hope Bradley can keep this lead.

                        Nope.

Kemp singles. Solarte hits one out of the park. All tied up at two.

Three up, three down for Bradley in the fifth.

In the bottom of the 5th with one out (Segura), Bourn singles. Goldschmidt flies out to M. Upton, but Lamb then triples to right, scoring Bourn. Castillo then grounds to short to end the inning.

                          3-2 Diamondbacks.

Top of the 6th: Bradley still pitching.

                            Leadoff walk to Myers.
Kemp doubles to center, scoring Myers. Tied at three. Still no outs.

                                Dickerson grounds out to Goldschmidt.
Then, working 3-0 to Derek Norris, Archie throws him a gopher ball, and Norris parks it in the left field bleachers. 5-3 Padres.

The game halts for a coaching visit to the mound...

                                  Bradley is still pitching.

Schimpf doubles. Ramirez is issued an IBB.

Bradley K's Perdomo swinging to end the inning, undoubtedly his last, as he's over one hundred pitches (105).

The damage has been done: 5-3 Padres.

                                        Bottom of the 6th:

Gosselin grounds out. One pitch, one out.
Drury grounds out. One pitch, another out.
                                        Ahmed singles.
                                        Herrmann will bat for Bradley.
                                        Herrmann grounds out.

                                        Still 5-3 Padres.
