Springer hit by the pitch on a 2-2. Escobar trying to go down and in, and not far enough down and too far in.
Altuve: Deep fly to Tomas in left, 1 out
Correa: "The Dbacks pitchers have had a rough go" - stroscasters - it's an annual event.
walks.
Rasmus: slow chopper to first, Goldy has it, Escobar covers, 2 out, runners move up
Tyler White: blown away on strikes, and slams the bat on the ground making kindling.
hit batter, walk, but on the whole, a nice first MLB inning for Escobar.

Now, in the last two games, the Backs got big leads early. Let's see if they can do that today

Segura: high fly right to Springer and the cans of corn are starting right away
Bourn: shot down the right field line foul by inches. Swinging strikeout on a dandy 12-6
Goldy: McHugh 7.62 ERA in the first inning. LONG DRIVE HEADED TOWARD THE POOL....
first pitch fastball
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDSCHMIDT!!

Marwin Gonzalez
deep foul right taken by Bourn in the corner, 1 out
Marisnick
homered in Anaheim yesterday, and doubles now into the right field corner
Castro
.186 road hitter. little jam shot looper into left, single, far enough from Tomas that Marisnick can score easily 1-1
McHugh
bunting, takes strike 1. drives managers nuts
foul bunt half way down the first base line and Goldy makes the dive but can't quite get it
drops it to the right of the mound, Escobar in to get it and the sac works.
with two strikes
Springer
check swing goes fair over first. RBI single
Goldy just playing too far off the line apparently and couldn't get it
But with the LIMITED view on TV, you can't tell what everyone is doing at any given time
Altuve
shot to right, falls in front of Bourn, and right through him - single + E-9
Altuve on second
Springer scores 3-1
Correa
single to left, throw home cut off and ALtuve scores 4-1, Correa out in a rundown between first and second
Going to last of 2, 4-1 Stros

The ball was hit hard, and probably had some english on it, and he didn't get in front of it, may not have had time. Didn't come up as he anticipated. Not making excuses here, but it was not that easy a play

@ryanpmorrison
Maybe we should have guessed that by wearing these camo-themed unis, the #Dbacks would play like the #Padres

Owings grounds to Altuve, 1 out
Tomas - hitless in last 13 ABs. foul 0-2 and see if McHugh drops that 12-6 on him
yes he did, and Tomas missed it by two feet going down swinging
2 out
Ahmed
inside off speed strike 1. If McHugh throws that 12-6 on strike 2, batters better be getting their hits early like Goldy did. "Astros have quieted this crowd" - Stroscasters
we'd be ahead 4-1 and it would still be quiet
curve on strike 2 one more time and he strikes out miserably.
if they can't hit this curve, they are DEAD MEAT with 2 strikes
4-1 Stros after 2

Stros record is close to ours but it must be noted that they play in the NL Central.
Wondering how the Dbacks would do against the Cubbies? Come back next weekend and find out
