Lineups when they become available. I am assuming either Joe or I are on PxP. It will be Jorge De La Rosa against Greinke.
JDLR was originally signed as an amatuer free agent by the Dbacks, out of Mexico in 1998. He never played in the Majors for the team though, being part of the Richie Suckson trade in 2003 to Milwaukee. Goldy is lifetime 4-16 off him, with a HR. Rickie Weeks is 5-11, with 3 2B interestingly.
Greinke last year against the Rockies was 1-1 with a 4.34 ERA in 3 starts and 18.2IP. He was in the KC rotation with Brian Anderson in 2004, as a 20 year old, making 24 starts in his rookie season.
Todays starters were team mates in KC in the 2006 and 2007 seasons. (06 JDLR only made 10 starts, and didn't pitch in the majors in 08)

I'm not very good at PBPing since I bounce around between multiple things at once while watching the game and doing stuff on the laptop.
I wonder where DS went?

Happy Opening Day! I hope everyone enjoys the season and I hope the team gives us many reasons to root for them.

He got frustrated and left. Remember when we all were telling him that even if there aren't many posters on a thread, we still read the GDT after the game to fill in the blanks. He hasn't signed on since 9/30.

Figured it was something like that
Would be nice if he would at least come back here for the discussions even if he isn't doing PBP.

Giants win 12-3 we're already a half game back in a must win situation.

Chris Owings has 1 minor league game as an outfielder and they have him in cf. As soon as you think this team figures things out they pull something like this.

I could see if it was like Ozzie Guillen in the 80s with the Cardinals or something. Owings? Really?

Yay Opening Day!
Gonna try and forget about the bigger picture with this team for tonight and instead focus on the fact that we have our best Opening Day starter since peak Webb.
